New Computer, New Interaction

A future given to the past

We went from old 1990 computers, to what is now New Age Technology. In one night we went from the first model of the computer, to a multi-tasking, multi-media machine. Our age of technology is so complex it changes rapidly.
The image above shows one The image above shows
of the first models computers. shows a new gateway
Circa 1985-1999 Computer.
The difference between these models are not just looks, but improvements. The computer to the left, had half as many features, and was half as smart as the gateway computer to the right. The gateway PC has been reduced in size, increased in performance, and became more portable.
The Post on top of this one, shows a new computer being developed by Microsoft right now.

My Education, Someone's Technology

When schools were first built long time ago, they were just simple wooden buildings, chalkboards, and the sun's light going into the classroom. The school could only hold about 30-40 children. Some students learned differently, some sat outside on stones and listened to the teacher, and what they had to say.

And now we have computers, to help us with our education, taken our tests online, quizzes, and doing homework. Our school is now a technology-based system. Through technology our schools can now hold 4,000+ students at one time, improve our safety, and create innovative ways to teach and learn.

Going Where...... Creating What?

We are in a time where engineering is pretty much the basic tool for everything.

Engineering- Is the skill that puts information to work through technology.

There are over 80,000 engineering jobs available, and employers are eagerly waiting for them to be filled. Students who are in there last year of High School should check out SPSU. Why? Southern Polytech has one of the best engineering programs in the state of Georgia. Also they understand that just because your grades and test scores are low you still can be successful. SPSU has no primary requirements for grades, instead they are looking for a well rounded individual.

Here's there requirements-

Well Rounded

Passionate

Some of the courses offered-

Construction Engineering

Civil Engineering Technology

Computer Engineering Technology

And many many more programs.

Next time you turn on your computer, ipod, or television think about creating the actual technology for it yourself. Don't hesitate visit Southern Polytech.

Our Electonics can be powered by............

We currently have elcectonics that are powered by batteries. Such as:
Cell Phones
Mp3 Players
and even big things like our cars.
But what powers the batteries? Is a good question Solar Panels can pull in and keep the sun's energy, to power batteries and the power from the batteries power your electronics. Solar panels can also power buildings, and homes. Apart from being a great generator, these panels can also save money from house bills and company bills.
The picture above shows solar panels
lined up in rows, taken in the suns energy,
and providing energy to generate power.
For Example,
One man lit up his house for chrictmas for about $3,000.00 a month, just for november and december. However the next year he decided that solar panels might help and they did, his bill went from an expensive $3,000.00, to a liitle bit over half of that total.

Renewing The Used

People have been using all kinds of sources to generate power, electricity, and just to make our life easier. Hydropower, generates electricity from water, rain, etc.
<---- The image to the left shows, the process of H2O, Precipitation and Evaporation.

Hydropower was first used in 1880, during that time only coal was known to have enough power to generate electricity. However after water became known as an electricity source, Power Plants were built near water to test and produce the result. There are 5 major states that really use Hydropower.
-Washington
-Oregon
-California
-New York
-Montana
